This picturesque harbour and fishing port is only a few kilometres away from Santanyí and Cala d’Or. In the harbour of Cala Figuera you will get an authentic idea of what the island was like before the times of mass tourism. This part of Santanyi is a must visit so you can compare the three great ports of Santanyi: Porto Petro, Cala d’Or and Cala Figuera. The one in Cala Figuera it is a more authentic and the romantic and Mediterranean feeling is hard to match. There are no sandy beaches in Cala Figuera and the developed areas around the port should not distract you from the real thing which is down at the port. The striking coastline forms a Y-shape with two long inlets shaping the well-protected coves of Caló d’en Boira and Caló d’en Busques. Llaüt fishing boats can be seen in the harbour of crystalline water and some of the traditional houses have private jetties but no street access. This is a great place for a trip by car or motorbike. Travelling by bycicle is also possible. There are a few restaurants at the port so you can finish your discovery trip with a meal in Cala Figuera.
From Cala Figuera the closest beaches you can find are in Cala Santanyi, Mondrago and Cala Llombads
