What kind of scooters and motorcycles can I rent?

We have scooter of 50CC, 110cc 125, 300 and Motorcycles of 125cc. 500cc and 750cc.

What insurance coverage is available?

There are two coverages, the first one is normal price with a comprehensive insurance with excess that depends on each model, the other option is to pay the comprehensive insurance without excess (CDW).

Can all drivers contract comprehensive insurance?

No, the drivers who can contract the comprehensive insurance (CDW) are those who meet the following requirements: be over 25 years old and have 5 years of seniority in the specific driving license for the vehicle in question.

What documents do I need to rent a vehicle? How old do I have to be?

To rent a vehicle you need the driving license required for the model to be rented and the identity card or passport. The minimum age is 18 years old.

Driving licences from countries outside the European Community or the UK: Drivers with driving licences from third countries that are not within the European Union or the United Kingdom, may only drive those whose driving licence from their country of origin specifies that they are suitable for the desired category of vehicle and who are also in possession of an International driving licence, to drive motorbikes both the driving licence (from the country of origin) and the international driving licence must specify that they are authorised to carry motorbikes or scooters. The 3-year car licence rule does not apply to 125cc motorbikes.

Can my companion drive?

Your companion can drive if he/she accepts the extra charge of additional drivers and meets the requirements to be able to drive.

Can I rent a scooter without experience?

No, it is very important to note that if you have a driving license but not enough experience you will not be allowed to leave our facilities for your safety and the safety of other vehicles and pedestrians.

How to pay? What kind of guarantee, bond or deposit is required?

The payment methods available are by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) debit or cash. Through our website you can also pay by PayPal.

The required information is that of a credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express). If you do not leave the credit card information, you will have to leave a document in the deposit until you return the vehicle.

Is it possible to rent without a deposit?

The vehicle can be rented without a deposit as long as you contract a comprehensive insurance without excess (CDW).

Is there any extra cost if there are two of us on the motorcycle?

There is no extra cost if there are two people on the motorcycle (driver and passenger).

What happens with fines?

In case the vehicle is fined, it will be your responsibility to take care of the fine, therefore it will be notified and sent to your address. In addition, there is an extra handling fee of 45€.

What is the cancellation policy?

  • Contract extension:
  • The existing contract can be extended by mail, phone, WhatsApp or in person at one of our offices. Extensions that are not done in person can only be extended up to a maximum term of 5 days and require both authorization and payment in advance. Any extensions beyond 5 days must be authorized and made directly at our car rental offices.
  • Modification of a reservation: To change an existing reservation, you must provide the reservation number found on the confirmation pdf that is emailed to the address provided. Changes are subject to fleet availability.
  • Cancellation: When making a reservation you have 24h to cancel it free of charge. If you wish to cancel an existing reservation you can only do so up to 7 days before the rental period starts. After that no reservation will be refunded.  To cancel an existing reservation you need the reservation number found on the confirmation pdf that is sent by email to the address you have provided us with.
  • Early return: If you return your vehicle early, you will bear the cost of 50% of the remaining rental time.

Can you deliver the vehicle to my accommodation, hotel or residence?

No.

All vehicles enter and leave from our offices, our company does not deliver vehicles to your accommodation, but we have a customer pick-up service to take you to our nearest office, and at the end of your rental we will return it to you.

Can I rent a motorbike or scooter for 24 hours?

No, not exactly. Car rentals are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. You have the option to contract a 12-hour extension of your rental, so you can return your vehicle the next morning between 8 am and 8 pm. Please note that the 12 hour extension will be considered two days if you return the vehicle after 8:30 pm.

Do I have to fill the gas tank?

The vehicle must be returned with at least the same level of fuel as when it was delivered to you. The rental agreement will specify the level of the fuel tank with which the vehicle was rented.

Can I return a motorcycle at the airport?

No, it is not possible. You must return the rented motorcycle or scooter at our offices in Cala d’Or.

This service is only possible when renting a car with Sprintrental for a minimum of 3 days.

Can I leave Mallorca with the vehicle?

No, it is only allowed to circulate with the vehicle on this island.

Can I extend my rental?

Yes, all we ask is that you call us in advance to check if the vehicle is still available. If it is not available, we will usually be able to offer you an alternative. If we grant you the extension we will charge you the difference when you return the rented vehicle at our offices in Cala d’Or ,Cala Ferrera or Cala Egos.

What happens in case of accident or breakdown?

First of all, call the emergency services – 112 – if there are injuries. Then call us as soon as possible so that we can proceed to assist you. You will find our contact details on the motorbike rental contract or click on this link.

Is there a limit to the number of kilometers I can drive the vehicle?

There is no limit on almost all but the following vehicles: Quads can only go a maximum distance of 30km from our offices, 50cc scooter at 40km, and bicycles within a 50km radius.

What safety equipment is included when renting a motorbike?

  • In the case of motorbikes, two helmets are included.

If you need a baby seat you must pay an extra cost. To know the additional amount to pay you should consult at the time of booking the updated prices.

What happens with fines?

Can I rent a car for 24 hours?

No, not exactly. Our car deals in Cala d’Or are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. You have the option to contract a 12-hour extension of your rental, so you can return your vehicle the next morning between 8 am and 8 pm. Please note that the 12 hour extension will be considered two days if you return the vehicle after 8:30 pm.

Do I have to fill the gas tank hiring a car?

The vehicle must be returned with at least the same level of fuel as when it was delivered to you. The rental agreement will specify the level of the fuel tank with which the vehicle was rented.

Can I leave Mallorca with the vehicle?

No, it is only allowed to circulate with the vehicle on this island. It´s not allowed to drive the car on other balearic islands.

Can we go in a group of vehicles?

A group of vehicles is considered when there are 3 or more vehicles together. We do not recommend driving or riding in a group for several reasons:

1- If an accident occurs between 2 or more vehicles of the same rental company within a group of vehicles the insurance will not cover neither material nor physical damages.

2- Traveling in a group of vehicles generates difficult traffic and may cause or produce an accident and put other drivers at risk.

3- In a group of vehicles the level of experience is not always the same and the one with less experience is the one who can more easily be involved in an accident.

In the case that the group of vehicles is authorized by our staff, the conditions will be the following: no comprehensive insurance (CDW) can be applied to any of the vehicles in the group and an additional charge “Group of vehicles => 3” = 5€ extra per day will be applied.

Can I return the vehicle at the hotel or at my home?

No, it is not possible to return a car, motorcycle, scooter or bicycle at the hotel. These vehicles must be returned at the place where it was picked up.

Can I extend my rental?

What kind of bicycles are available for rent?

City, Trekking, MoutainBike MTB, Urban Trekking, e-bikes, Race Bikes and Gravel bikes. In our bike hire Mallorca company we only work with the main brands.

How long can I rent a bicycle for?

Minimum is 1 day and within our opening and closing hours 8:00  to 20:00.  You can rent our bicycles as many days as you want during your vacation to explore all the cycling routes of the island.

Do you have Kid’s Bikes?

Yes, we have 20″ and 24″ wheels.

Can I rent accessories such as helmets, padlocks, etc.?

Helmets are included, baby seats and mobile supports are optional.

Do the reduced mobility vehicles include insurance?

Insurance for bicycles is included, specifically Third-party Liability Insurance.
